Staff at ‘Style Counsel’ on Edleston Road in Crewe celebrated their 30th anniversary by once again raising a generous amount of money for a cancer charity.

Last year staff members of the hair studio completed a sponsored climb of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands.

Staff followed the climb with a series of other events into this year including coffee and cake sessions at the salon, holding raffles, selling hand-knitted scarves, and Cancer Research UK merchandise.
As a result, during their 30th anniversary year, ‘Style Counsel’ raised a total of £1,820 for Cancer Research UK.

The money was also all raised during a particularly challenging time for all due to the Covid pandemic.

Style Counsel salon staff also previously organised fundraising activities during their 20th and 25th anniversaries and have raised the fabulous total of £5,629 to date for Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK are the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research. Their vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

The cheque for £1,820 was recently presented by Style Counsel staff to Neil Fearne (Chairman) and John Pass (Honorary President) from Crewe & Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group.

A representative from Crewe & Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group, said:

“A massive thank you for the extraordinary efforts of the Crewe hairdressers Style Counsel for raising funds for Cancer Research UK.”
