Young people who attend after-school clubs run by YMCA Crewe can show their creative side thanks to a donation from Anwyl Homes.

The house builder has awarded £390 of funding so the charity can purchase arts and crafts supplies for its after-school clubs on the Sherborne Estate.

It’s one of the donations made from the £5,000 ‘Love from Anwyl’ funding pot to help local not-for-profit organisations close to its development at Alexandra Gardens, on Sydney Road.

YMCA Crewe runs a programme of after school clubs and holiday activities, which are free to attend and open to all children aged 9-15.
As a charity, the purchase of materials for the YMCA’s after school clubs is solely reliant on donations.

Each year the YMCA rely more and more on the income they can raise through donations, fundraising events, and sponsorship. From money raised by individuals taking part in sponsored challenges, to churches and community groups making annual donations, every pound we receive is helping to raise awareness of their work, helping them change lives.

Due to Covid-19, they do not currently have any fundraising events planned, but please email their Fundraising and Communications Officer Lisa Cormack at lisa.cormack@ymcacrewe.org.uk to be kept up to date with our fundraising news, or follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Thinking of organising your own fundraising event?

As well as organising their own fundraising events and sponsored challenges throughout the year, they can offer fundraising and promotional support for any events organised by their supporters. Contact lisa.cormack@ymcacrewe.org.uk for more information.
