The Railway Benefit Fund have extended their free will writing service with Railway Mission for a year after over 1,000 people created a will in March!
This campaign is kindly supported by the Retired Rail Officers Society (RROS).
How do I write my free will?
They have teamed up with will writing service Bequeathed, giving you the option to write your will online or over the phone.
Both services will provide a consultation with a solicitor to finalise your will and these appointments can be selected at your convenience.
An email address will be required for verification.
Creating a will using Bequeathed can be done in three easy steps:
- Complete the online interview (online or over the phone)
The questions asked help to gather all the information required to make your will quickly.
It takes around 20 minutes and the team is online to help. - Get advice from an accredited firm
When you’ve completed the interview, Bequeathed schedule in a 30-minute appointment with a legal firm. Choose phone or video call, your home or their office. - Sign and witness your will
After your appointment, the legal firm sends you your free will.
Just sign it in front of witnesses and return to the firm for free secure storage.
Are there any costs involved?
The majority of Wills are defined as simple and will be totally free.
However, if the solicitor advises that your will is more complicated, you will have the option to pay the solicitor for the extra work.
Should this be the case, it is of course your decision whether to proceed with this service.
If you would like to support your favourite railway charities such as RBF or Railway Mission you can leave a gift in your will or make a donation on completion of your will – there is no obligation to do either.
